“When we read a story, we inhabit it. The covers of the book are like a roof and four walls. What is to happen next will take place within the four walls of the story. And this is possible because the story’s voice makes everything its own.”
What we hope for when getting married is to be lifted into a cloud of passion, joy, and love. (Sure that was cheesy, but come on, don’t lie, it’s true!) It is, after all, one of the most important days in your life. There is a lot more to the day of your wedding besides the whole “getting married” part…
There is a woven story of you and your spouse-to-be that happened way before you even considered marriage - way before the 24 hours on your wedding day, back to when your paths crossed that one fateful moment, and all of the moments leading up to that in which you were being led one step closer to one another. Getting married is a big day, but a small fraction compared to the days you have spent together before, and the life you will spend together after. Each of those days and moments before and after hold as much value as the day of your wedding. It is in all of these moments, big and small, that create who you both are and make life beautiful.
When thinking of the most important and noteworthy things in your lives that weave together, thinking of the places you’ve been, the people you love, the gifts you cherished most, the time you ripped your pants and that smile came across your partner’s face where they crinkle their nose so adorably like only they can at you…we never want to forget these things…or more so the people involved, as their love is priceless.
When thinking on each of these significantly essential experiences, what are the ones that stand out the most to you?
Your story is the most important representative emblem. Let’s show the world!
